"Girl from the Gutter"-->The Feeling and Release

For some reason I had thought I's already written about this song, looking back at all my entries, I guess I haven't yet, and it seems fitting for how many people are feeling these days, this one's for ALL of you!

"Girl from the Gutter" is that song that just hits your gut and soul when you listen to it! The artist, Kina Cosper, (whom I continue to admire to this day) really made an impact when she released this track and it's video back in the year 2000. Not only is the storyline of the song a great and empowering message, her delivery of the message is ON POINT! I'm very surprised with all these talent reality shows out there not one person has covered this song, it would for sure get them through to the next round of the competition if someone was to sing it just right!

This song contains FREEDOM, STRENGTH, INDEPENDENCE and SELF RELIANCE...all the qualities you receive when

 "turning the page" and "closing a chapter" in LIFE. 

We've all had that one person in our world that's made us believe we were "something" only to see we were nothing special to them. Having squeezed every positive ounce out of us, promised the world when all they left was everything in shambles, might I add the empty body that once possessed our glowing and alluring soul.

Once that person's left our realm, reality starts to kick in and slowly we start to realize what we lost in the battle of trying to impress someone else. Then we also start to find that empathy has nothing to do with healing unless we kick start the tears out of our eyes. After the "Good Cry", things out of nowhere start to look up and we see what the Universe truly has in store for us. 

In the song Kina mentions the following:

"Things are lookin' up for me now  

Seems like Karma's makin' its rounds 

Its my turn now, won't be held down no  

Karma's gonna visit you too  

You gotta pay for the things you put me through  

I hope you do, I hope you do, yeah, yeah"

I'm always telling people to NEVER wish bad on the one's who've done you wrong, because it's bad Karma for us...yet in a way, we know that Karma does have it's way and its time when it goes full circle, and whatever wrong and impure someone does to you, they'll get their own negativity, one way or another, no need to worry on that note. 

Now one of my favorite progressions of this song is the bridge where Kina sings the following empowerment:

"Needed to make me weak to help you feel stronger
I know y'all bitches think I'm somewhere dyin' inside
Oh yeah, poor Kina, she went home
She couldn't take it no longer
But I'm right here
I'm right here
I'm right here "

Pretty much it's saying, "What NOW?! I took you on now I can take ANYTHING!" In the end, it's our recovery that makes us NEW and EMPOWERED no matter the circumstance. 

Some of us it takes longer to recover, we may be left feeling like a "Girl from the Gutter", and instead of dreading the title, OWN it! As long as we make the progression to a better place, we'll be able to cross ANY bridge we come face to face with, there won't be ANYTHING to be scared of....that I know and promise you <3

First off I trust and hope everyone had a very Happy Valentine's Day 2013!! As for me, it was great seeing my clients for that day and it was a Taco Bell type of night...which I regretted this morning..nevertheless, it was great! 

To also clear up the air on my last blog "Damsel IN Distress", I received several texts from different people wanting to know if the "Damsel" I was talking about was them...and clearly in true Busy Little Queen fashion, it wasn't about ONE particular individual...it was more of what the mood was on Facebook when I had logged on that night, lots of complaints and drama queens.

Well now that we're on the drama queen subject, we will continue to explore that aspect a little more tonight. Valentine's Day this year brought a lot of joy as well as fear into people's lives. 

Joy for the one's in relationships and Fear for the one's who are single. I've been single 28 out of the 29 years that I've celebrated Valentine's Day on this earth and rest assure, that one year I did have someone for that day turned out to be a TOTAL NIGHTMARE!! Goodness gracious I would've much rather been single than having to go through that specific day in 2009. Yet also, for some reason, I STILL love to celebrate Valentine's Day, one bad year won't ruin it for me that's for sure.

As I looked around on all the social networks and those around me, the single individuals were having such frowns that it definitely showed not only on their faces, but also on their posts. Now I'm not saying that there were a bunch of Debbie Downers, though you can tell they weren't on a HAPPY streak, and for whatever reason, I'm also not one to pass judgement because I've been there before. 

Yet I will say this:

Being single allows you to become stronger within yourself and it also gives the opportunity to see what you're willing to work for in the long run. Most people date just to get a kick out of it and show an insecurity of wanting to be needed by others. Now on the other hand we have those whom are dating for the right reasons and want to move forward in their next level of their lives. EVERYTHING in this LIFE takes effort, grace and vulnerability, most of all, it takes great SACRIFICE to know and earn what you've always wanted. If you're SINGLE, there's a reason for the fact that you're still looking...take your time. If you're in a relationship, enjoy it and learn to become 50/50 with your significant other, it does work to compromise. 

Only if YOU believe it's true will you ever feel down on yourself and feel that ONE fateful day will never come to fulfill your LIFE...again, ONLY if you believe it. 

Instead, CELEBRATE YOU and your accomplishments until the right one shows up, 

ALL in due time.

DAMSEL in DISTRESS

The last week of January 2013 had a LOT of lunar activity and all I kept hearing from people was:

"Look at the moon!! So beautiful!"

Truthfully inside me I was SCREAMING:

"GO AWAY!!!!"

There's a reason why I was screaming inside, and that's because I knew right away that it would be affecting those who are most susceptible to their inner beings and emotions. Oh and has it hit!

I used to be a sucker for emotions, a part of me still is, though through my meditation and study of my inner self I've come to control what's supposed to be let out and what's supposed to be kept in. In a way, food is a BIG help for me, though it's really not a big surprise right?! In any case, it took years to conform and realize the necessity of who I was and was also becoming.

Ever feel NOT like yourself? Do tears start streaming down your face for no reason? Feel like complaining how the world is a BIG pain in the ass? Want to blame most of your issues on everyone else but yourself? Are you starting to CREATE your issues and solving them yourself?

Well DAMSEL in DISTRESS, 

time to "man up" and get a hold of yourself because if you think it's bumpy mow, you've barely begun to shake!

There's this thing called your OWN personality, you know the thing you defend everytime someone has an opinion about you, well this personality of yours is important to keep up because it's not only your defense mechanism, it's who people know you as being when you're having fun, at work, or even playing around in your sweats and plain white "T". You've shown the world who you are and you're not willing to change unless it's time for you to move to higher level. 

Also, there's this word called PERSEVERANCE, you know the will to continue even when you're not as HOT as you've been in other times prior to this day. Give up now and you're just showing the world how lazy and indecisive you are about the present and future, OH but hey, it's YOUR personality right?!

The overall message here is this:

NO matter what the world has you feeling, or FULL MOONS for that matter, give it your best shot to become more than your weakest moment! You're allowed a weak moment here and there, string it along for a consecutive month or two and you're pushing it! Pick yourself up and know that ALL you're hard work has come to this point, even if you're not showcasing the best of your ability now as we speak. SUCCESS and MONEY have very little to do with eachother, they only have POWER if you give it to them, other than that, they're just words with very little meaning.

Consists of everyday sacrifice no matter what

MONEY=GREED

This happens when you lose sight of the importance of LIFE

Know the difference and make sure you direct yourself towards the RIGHT path!
